Skuut Balance BikeReviewsWe found an unassembled Skuut at a discount store, so we bought it. Our 3 year old absolutely loves it! This is a fun bike, and a great way to teach a kid to balance on a bike before you try to get them to learn to use pedals at the same time. We did have a problem where the fork split, but we contacted Skuut customer service (by e-mail). They asked us a few questions about the bike. We sent them back some pictures showing what happened, and they responded by FedEx-ing a new Skuut to us at no cost. I like the Skuut because my 3 year old loves it, and I like it because the company that makes it is willing to stand behind it and make sure we were satisfied. Our 4 yr old received the bike for Christmas. And although we have had a lot of snow this year and he has not had much chance to ride it outside he loves it. He takes ti around the house with him and he is even starting to balance on it. I believe it will assist him greatly in learning how to ride a traditional bike. I purchased the Skuut Bike on Amazon.com just two weeks before Christmas as a gift for my Grandson. Santa deleivered and he was able to ride on Christmas Day. He doesn't go anywhere without his bike - not even to papa's house... Great Service; Good Price; Will use Amazon again! [ASIN:B000O8OUUY Skuut Balance Bike] Just wanted to let all you know that I saw there's a new & improved V2 Skuut out there that seems to address all the problems mentioned here about finish, hardware quality & position, seat padding, etc. It sounds like Skuut listened to all of the complaints & has made improvements (but there are still a lot of Original Skuuts out there for sale). I'd check with the seller to see if it is a V2 or not before purchasing - good luck! I will have to hold my first hand comments until my nephew can ride a bike with no training wheels. My initial impressions are that the build quality seems good, and it was easy to assemble. I purchased it, because I have seen other kids who learned by riding on these pedal-less bikes. They hopped off of the skuut, and rode a pedal bike with ease at a very young age. They already knew how to balance, so they only had to learn to pedal. Some of the pre-schoolers I have seen at the cyclocross races (pdx), are so small that they have to ride the tiny 12 inch pedal bikes when they outgrow the skuut. Average Rating:![]() |

Built for kids ages 2-5, the Skuut is a pedal-less, chainless push bike that moves by foot power ("Flinstone" style). Its the perfect introduction to cycling because its specifically designed to complement the motor skills of young children, teaching balance and control at a much earlier age than traditional cycles with training wheels... |

POSITIV Team Complete SkateboardsReviewsI just received the Andy Mac Crop Circle board a few days ago so I don't have much of a review. Right out of the box though, you could just tell it was a good quality board, especially for the price. As for the poor review someone gave about the packaging, I would have to agree; not the best. But also, not a good enough reason to poorly rate this product. I'm a 6'5" 210 23 yr old athletic male that hasn't skated in a few years. I just finished college and wanted to pick it back up as a hobby. I haven't owned many boards, since I just like to hop on every so often, but to compare to the other boards I've purchased in the past this one is far better. I use to buy Target/Wal-Mart boards back in the 7th grade and obviously those wouldn't compare. But I also bought a $100+ name brand board as my last one and this one, so far, is already better. I say its better because the price. It seems to be made like one of the more expensive boards but just less expensive. I'm not giving this product a 5 Star rating because 5 stars means it really wowed me and it takes a lot to impress me. Also, if I'm going to be picky, the board does veer to the left when coasting. Not I problem when I'm on the board though. All in all a great buy! Really nice skateboard, a lot cheaper than those place where you build it as you go. Well made item, would consider buying it again. My son is a beginner, but has older brothers who have been boarding for a while. They thought this was a good board, and not necessarily for novices. Ordered this skateboard for my nephew and he loves it. He is 10 years old and this is his first "real" skateboard. I wanted to get a quality board for my son who had been asking for a skateboard for some time. I read many reviews of how department store boards were cheaply made and often broke endangering the rider. To prevent this, I bought the Positiv skateboard. Although it seems to be the board we wanted, the box it came in had little tape and not enough stuffing paper inside. This allowed the board to fall around the much too big box it was packed in and get behind the closed box flaps. Once it did, it fell upon the scarce tape. Since it was poorly taped, the board became exposed and banged against whatever it layed on or was placed upon it. Like the cement floor it rested on when the UPS man delivered it. The edge was clearly damaged and you could see it had been banged multiple times. I would not recommend a Positiv skateboard since they cannot package what they sell safely and securly. Nobody will be happy with a delivered damaged gift. I should have returned this, I know. The board my older daughter wants will definitely not be a Positiv board. My experience with them has been very less than positive. Average Rating:![]() |

How To Setup And Repair A Complete Skateboard: Everything You Need To Know About Skateboard Care.ReviewsMy son used this to work on his boards. Getting a kid to read is always a good thing. If you have teens you know that skateboarding is what they want to do. Safty is the key here. I found that how to Setup And Repair A Complete Skateboard helped me get involved with my teen. Easy to read and quick to the point. Best wheels, replacment and ajustments is a great section. I received this book in the form of an ebook, as I was asked if I could have a look at my neighbours skateboard. I admit that before reading this book, I knew nothing about skateboards, so when I was asked to look at my neighbours, I was a bit wary. This book not only guided me through all the things I should know, but with detailed guidance, I was able to accomplish the things I didn't know. I was suprised with all the theory, as I believed that a skateboard was simply a board with wheels. I now know different, as a properly built and maintained skateboard is a precision tool. many thanks for an easy to follow guide. This book is right up my son's alley. He knows from a user's point of view how accurate this book is at covering all the many ways a skateboard must be fixed and maintained. He has even learned some new tips about the mechanics of them, and that's not easy for any teenager to admit (since they already know everything). My son assures me that this guide should be standard equipment for every skateboard owner. And he knows what he's talking about! If you want to customize your skateboard, build one from components or refurbish your "oldie but goodie" this book has all the detailed information you need. In addition to an excellent description of all mechanical aspects of skateboard construction, the author offers tips that affect the performance of your skateboard, including types of wheels and how they grip the surface you're riding on. That's just one of many points that helped me get a positive outcome on my skateboard projects. I recommend this book without hesitation. Average Rating:![]() |
